StretchLume™ transforms ceilings and feature surfaces into clean, uniform fields of light—combining high-performance LED backlighting with a tensioned translucent stretch membrane.
The system
StretchLume combines a precisely planned LED array with a tensioned translucent membrane. The diffuser becomes the visible light source, creating a calm, continuous illuminated surface without exposed fittings or visible hotspots.
Also described as a luminous ceiling, backlit stretch ceiling, illuminated stretch ceiling or luminous fabric ceiling, the complete system is engineered to coordinate the lighting and diffuser as one architectural element.
Every installation is developed around the project: dimensions, supporting structure, LED layout, light output, colour temperature, controls, membrane and access requirements are considered together.

Frequently asked questions
A luminous stretch ceiling uses LED lighting behind a tensioned translucent membrane. The membrane diffuses the individual LED sources so the ceiling becomes a large, evenly illuminated surface.
Yes. Systems can be integrated with DALI, DMX, PWM and 0–10V controls, as well as Casambi wireless Bluetooth control. Single white, tunable white and RGBW options are available, with output, CRI and control requirements agreed for each project.
StretchLume is available as a flush-mounted ceiling, a surface-mounted lightbox or a suspended luminous raft. Bespoke dimensions and shapes can be developed around the supporting structure.
Membranes are available in widths up to 5 metres. Wider areas can be formed using precision-welded membrane panels or an architectural joining profile, depending on the project and preferred appearance.
