Not a light fixture.
A luminous surface.

Conventional lighting creates points of glare, zones of shadow, and a ceiling that competes with the space beneath it. StretchLume eliminates all three.

Depending on where you're specifying from, you may know this system as a luminous ceiling, backlit stretch ceiling, illuminated ceiling, or luminous fabric ceiling. The terminology shifts by region and industry — the engineering underneath is the same.

A precision array of LED sources is mounted behind a tensioned translucent stretch membrane. The membrane doesn't just diffuse light — it becomes the light source. The result is an entire ceiling plane that glows with perfect uniformity, with no visible hardware and no maintenance access required.

Developed and refined in the UK by Imperial Integrated Systems, the StretchLume system is now available across North America — bringing a level of architectural lighting sophistication that has long been established in European markets but remains rare in the US.

Built for
North America's
most demanding spaces.

01

Hotels & Resorts

Orlando has more hotel rooms than any US city, and StretchLume is headquartered right at its heart. Our systems serve hotel and resort groups across North America — transforming lobbies, restaurants, spas, and conference facilities.

02

Luxury Automotive

Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Tesla. The I-4 corridor has one of the highest densities of prestige dealerships in the US — and showroom lighting is a proven StretchLume application.

03

Healthcare & Medical

Lake Nona Medical City is one of the fastest-growing healthcare campuses in the US. Diffused luminous ceilings measurably reduce patient anxiety in clinical environments.

04

Luxury Residential

From Windermere and Dr. Phillips in Florida to high-end homes across the US and Canada — pool ceilings, home theaters, and feature spaces deserve something exceptional.

05

Entertainment & Dining

The experience economy demands immersive environments. From themed restaurants to nightlife venues, StretchLume creates the atmosphere that brings guests back.

"The ceiling is the most underestimated surface in any room. StretchLume makes it the most powerful."

of luminous design.

European Engineering

Developed and proven in the UK market where architectural lighting standards are among the most demanding in the world. Not an adaptation — a purpose-built system.

Architectural Precision

The StretchLume system is engineered from the outset for consistency across any scale — a 2m² panel looks identical to a 200m² ceiling. No hotspots. No variation.

Specification Support

Full technical documentation, BIM files, photometric data, fire certification, and CAD drawings available for architects and specifiers. We speak your language.

US Installation Partnership

StretchLume works with specialist installation partners to deliver projects across North America. Contact us to discuss your project location.

10-Year System Guarantee

Every StretchLume installation is backed by a decade-long product guarantee. We stand behind our systems because we engineer them to last.

Integrated LED Modules

StretchLume systems are designed to work with precision LED modules that form an integral part of the luminous ceiling assembly — engineered for even light distribution, long service life, and full compatibility with smart control systems. Further details available on request.

First Mover Advantage

No North American competitor offers this depth of luminous ceiling capability. Specifying StretchLume places your project ahead of the curve — visibly and measurably.

Specified
with precision.

StretchLume membranes are manufactured up to 5m in width. For installations wider than 5m, spans are joined using one of two engineered methods:

Ultrasonic Seam Weld

A precision bond fused directly within the membrane material — creating a virtually invisible join that maintains the integrity of the luminous surface across the full installation width.

Architectural Joining Track

A precision-engineered aluminium track system that joins membrane panels at any width. When detailed correctly, the track becomes a considered architectural element rather than a visible constraint.
